The Sporting Life

Oh old timey baseball. The high socks, the mustaches, the rabble rousing insults and songs. These cuff links from VenusFlyTrapJewels capture the spirit of the game in it's Victorian roots.

You may ask "what exactly is going on in this here scene?" And I would counter that with "does it really matter?" You have unlady-like ladies participating in fisticuffs, mustachioed men playing some sort of ball-hurling game, and of course a French flying pig in this solarplate etching by Piroteki.

Hey, Victorian animals could even get in on the fun of playing sports. Here are two atheltic felines engaged in a rousing match of tennis on this fridge magnet from Labelstone. Note the little one looking on in the background!
