My mom has an awesome printer's box that is filled with little antiques and knick-knacks from a lifetime of collecting, and my grandmother has one also. I have a smaller modern one in my old room, but now I have a hankering for a real, old one of my own.
They look stellar in all sorts of decorating schemes....rustic, country, modern, Victorian...

I've seen those used as table tops, covered with glass to allow for viewing of the little items within. So neat!
Love all of those! And I like Of the Fountain's idea about using as a table!
Stopping by from the etsyblogteam, hope you can come say hi at my little blog soon. :)

Those are great! I would loove one... that and a card catalogue.... all the little drawers would be so fun to have and fill.
Oh, I have one on the wall and have for years. It has all sorts of tiny treasures from all over the world. I'm always on the look out for amazing tiny things. It is quite full--very old coins, class ring, antique miniature Bible, tiny bottle, a thimble from France, salt spoons, exquisite buttons,...etc. Will have to do a post some day. The only downside? Dusting it! It is quite a job, and, well, I'm not terribly fond of dusting. Otherwise it is a joy and is full of many wonderful memories. I'd highly recommend one...just to have another "thrill of the hunt" looking for tiny bits while antique shopping! ; )

Love them! I'm not generally a knick-knack person, but they're enough to make me want to start collecting :)
Brandy I love the concept of having one under glass in a table! That would be so fun.
Michele yours sounds really awesome! I would love to see a post on all your tiny treasures! And yikes, now that you mention it I had not thought of the dusting issue...
Katrina- I know!! There is something about having an empty, organized space like that just is waiting to be filled up!
I have a couple printers boxes that I use to sort vintage and antique jewelry components. I know, i should be uncovering them and using them for trinkets, but they are just so cool for organizing jewelry components! One of my customers has almost her whole wall in the hall of her home (the hall to the bedrooms) just covered with these boxes (she's an antique dealer) chock full of antique and vintage oddities! I am so jealous of her hall! When ever I go there to drop off some jewelry for her, I can't help but visit her hallway!
Oh wow Lisa, that sounds amazing!! A collection of collections, love it!
They are gorgeous. I'd very much like one too!
