a Handmade Wedding

It's been a couple of months since our wedding, and I wanted to share some pictures with everyone. There were many wonderful Etsy sellers that helped make our wedding beautiful and memorable so I want to thank them here and share their wonderful work with you.

I made these pouches for my bridesmaids and filled them with little gifts, like these cute mirrors from Snappy Mirrors:

I made the centerpieces with silk flowers and different vintage containers and vases.

The boutonnieres I made for the guys

My beautiful bridesmaids and their tussie mussies I made.

LaBelle Fairy on Etsy made the most gorgeous, romantic corset for me to wear under my gown. I can't recommend her work highly enough!

LiveLoveBead made this beautiful headband with cream colored pearls. It worked perfectly!

Two weeks before the wedding I realized I only had one ring pillow, and ORomeo came to the rescue with a lovely pillow

Our favors were donations to the National Audubon Society, and jordan almonds in organza pouches.

We had a silhouette artist, Ruth, at the reception who cut silhouettes of all our guests

Check out Ruth's website, she's amazing http://www.artfulheirlooms.com/

I decoupage our card chest

My stepmother made the cake with layers of chocolate, red velvet, and pumpkin

Dressurdolly2 on Etsy custom made a doll dress for our flower girl to match her own dress. She loved it and was so cute!

My beautiful vintage gown was from Creativegatherings on Etsy. It was my dream dress and I was so happy with it.

Our reception was held at the beautiful Lyman Estate, an historic mansion from the late 18th century

Thank you to everyone who helped make our day special!

Our photographer was Stephanie Patalano, who as you can see, did an amazing job. All of her pictures are copyright! If you'd like to see all of her photos of our wedding you can here

Hair trial

I had my wedding hair and makeup trial the other day. Both the stylist and makeup artist were great, I loved the way everything turned out! At the end of the day I pulled 49 pins out of my hair, and number 50 fell out in the shower the next morning.

I just grabbed a headband at CVS for the trial run, but I have a lovely, handmade one coming from Etsy soon.

The inspiration, found at this great blog here

I have been so busy with wedding stuff and then a little sick I haven't had a chance to make anything for my shop in a while. Hopefully I'll be doing a big supply order this week and putting new stuff up soon!

Current DIY Wedding Projects

The past few days I've been going crazy with all my DIY projects for the wedding and thought I would share a few pictures here. Everything I make is super easy, so if you're interested in anything just let me know and I'm happy to share!

I don't know why my pictures have been so grainy lately. But anyway, here a few of the centerpieces. We are using vintage/antique/thrift vases and containers. Because each container is so different the arrangements vary a lot. Mostly I stuck with an Autumn theme, but whatever flowers struck my fancy got thrown in too.

Milk glass containers make up a lot of the centerpieces.

The current state of our mantle.

Some of the boutonnieres for the guys. There are still glue strings on these I have to go and pick off, but it's been too hot so I'm waiting a couple of days.

A bridesmaid's bouquet.

I love tussie mussies!

Drawstring reticules/pouches.

I also have lots of great things I've gotten from Etsy for the wedding, but I'll wait to share those until afterward!
